The Merchandiser is responsible for optimizing the online shopping experience to drive sales, improve conversion rates, and strengthen brand presence across digital channels. This role blends analytical skills with creative merchandising strategies, ensuring products are presented in an engaging, accurate, and conversion-focused manner. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, data-driven, and passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Your daily tasks will include:
Manage product setup, categorization, and digital shelf placement across the e-commerce site.
Ensure all product content—including titles, descriptions, images, attributes, and SEO tags—is accurate, compelling, and aligned with brand standards.
Regularly audit the site to identify errors, gaps, and opportunities for improving product visibility and presentation.
Analyze site performance metrics (traffic, click-throughs, conversion rate, add-to-cart behaviour) to identify merchandising opportunities.
Implement A/B tests and data-driven improvements to product pages, search results, and category layouts.
Work closely with UX and digital teams to enhance on-site navigation, search functionality, and customer journey flow.
Set up promotional pricing, banners, landing pages, and featured assortments.
Merchandise assortments based on product lifecycle, sales trends, and inventory forecasts.
Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and bundling.
Work with creative teams on product imagery, storytelling, and brand presentation.
Partner with customer service to understand customer feedback and adjust merchandising strategies accordingly.
Coordinate with the vendor management team to maintain accurate product data and content standards.
Your qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Merchandising, or a related field.
2–4+ years of experience in e-commerce merchandising, digital marketing, or retail merchandising.
Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms (Shopify, TikTok Shop, Amazon, Target+, Walmart)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Strong attention to detail with a passion for optimizing user experiences.
Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and adapt to a dynamic work environment
Experience with SEO best practices and on-site search optimization.
Familiarity with product information management (PIM) systems.

Intro Chat
If our Talent Acquisition Team believes that you could be a great fit for the role, we’ll invite you to a 30-45-minute introductory call. Our goal is to learn about your relevant experiences, skills, and motivations. This is also your chance to ask any questions you may have about FYUL.
Practical Task
Some roles require our candidates to complete a practical assignment. It helps us assess your problem-solving skills and your ability to complete the duties required for the role.
These can come in the form of a take-home assignment or a live session where a dedicated team member will guide you through the process and answer any of your questions.
Hiring Manager Interview
The next step is a 30-60-minute call to meet the hiring manager. The goal of this call is to assess if you have the skills necessary for the role. Expect more detailed questions about your experience and some situational or behavioral questions.

Once all of your interviews are done, our team will get together to review everyone’s feedback and make a decision.
If we decide that you are the best candidate for the role, our recruiter will reach out to you with an offer.
