Visual Designer (Hybrid | Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati, OH)

Our business keeps growing, so we’re looking for a talented Visual Designer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll be hands-on in creating original marketing and web assets, while managing your own priorities and working seamlessly with a team to deliver high-quality, on-brand creative. From web banners and newsletters to social campaigns and ecommerce experiences, you’ll help bring ideas to life across digital channels.
The ideal candidate is a strong visual thinker with an eye for detail, a pulse on design trends, and the ability to balance creativity with efficiency. You’ll bring a deep understanding of modern design tools, UX best practices, and marketing execution to drive impact for some of the biggest names in entertainment and eCommerce.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Manage and execute design tasks from concept through delivery, ensuring high-quality and timely work.
- Create and refine assets using Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Firefly, and Illustrator), and other marketing design tools.
- Design creative for web experiences, ecommerce banners, email/newsletter marketing, and paid + organic social campaigns.
- Maintain and enforce brand consistency across all channels.
- Confidently engage with clients on calls and via email, presenting work and incorporating feedback.
- Work efficiently, making smart decisions about time and priorities across multiple clients.
- Partner closely with cross-functional squad teams (marketing, design, and account) for cohesive execution.
- Understand and apply UX principles to improve user experience in digital products.
- Stay up-to-date on design trends, AI tools, and emerging technologies that enhance creative output.
Your qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Design or related field.
- 1+ year of professional experience in visual design.
- Expertise with Figma and strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Firefly essential; Illustrator helpful but secondary).
- Familiarity with other marketing tools for quick-turn creative.
- Experience designing for web, newsletters, and social marketing campaigns.
- Experience applying AI in design workflows (e.g., image generation, layout optimization, ideation).
- Proven ability to produce original, high-quality creative under tight deadlines.
- Excellent conceptual, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Shopify, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript is a plus.
- Huge bonus: experience with video editing and animation/motion graphics.

Our Hiring Process
Intro Chat
If our Talent Acquisition Team believes that you could be a great fit for the role, we’ll invite you to a 30-45-minute introductory call. Our goal is to learn about your relevant experiences, skills, and motivations. This is also your chance to ask any questions you may have about FYUL.
Practical Task
Some roles require our candidates to complete a practical assignment. It helps us assess your problem-solving skills and your ability to complete the duties required for the role.
These can come in the form of a take-home assignment or a live session where a dedicated team member will guide you through the process and answer any of your questions.
Hiring Manager Interview
The next step is a 30-60-minute call to meet the hiring manager. The goal of this call is to assess if you have the skills necessary for the role. Expect more detailed questions about your experience and some situational or behavioral questions.
Decision and Offer
Once all of your interviews are done, our team will get together to review everyone’s feedback and make a decision.
If we decide that you are the best candidate for the role, our recruiter will reach out to you with an offer.
Once you have accepted the offer, our HR Operations Team will contact you to walk you through the contract signing process.
