Mockup Design Team Manager (remote within Europe)
We’re not one brand or one type of team. We’re a fast-growing global company made up of many disciplines – all working toward a shared goal: to power great brands, experiences, and people.
About the role:
As Mockup Design Manager, you will lead the evolution of our e-commerce visual asset production across our design operations. Managing three Design Team Leads and an overall team of thirteen 3D designers, you will bridge 3D asset creation with our platform's broader growth strategy.
Your mission:
Elevate our 3D production engine into a high-efficiency, tech-enabled unit. Over your first 12 months, you will simplify creative and technical processes, guide the team in adopting practical AI and automation tools, and optimize capacity to deliver faster, higher-converting visual assets that directly fuel merchant success.
Key Responsibilities:
Workflow & process optimization: Partner with the team and stakeholders to identify production bottlenecks, introducing smart workflows and simple automations to remove repetitive tasks and keep the platform's visual pipeline moving quickly.
Customer-driven impact: Passionate about aligning design operations with merchant success, translating user feedback and e-commerce trends into high-converting visual assets that lower reprint rates.
Practical AI & tool adoption: Act as an approachable guide for the team, evaluating user-friendly AI tools and helping designers comfortably integrate them into daily workflows to make their jobs easier.
Capacity planning & resource management: Direct resource allocation and capacity planning to ensure high-value initiatives are prioritized and ROI on visual asset creation is maximized.
E-commerce operations strategy: Evaluate production metrics, align visual output with merchant usage patterns, and refine cross-functional collaboration channels to reduce reprint rates and boost merchant conversion.
Leadership & team mentorship: Coach and mentor 3 Design Team Leads in merchant centricity, operational efficiency, team growth, and leadership performance, building a collaborative and high-performing creative engine.
Your qualifications:
Leadership experience: Proven experience leading & developing technical, creative, or 3D design teams.
Industry background: Direct background working within a platform environment, a SaaS business model, e-commerce, and a solid understanding of how creative and technical operations support scaling product ecosystems.
Automation & process mindset: Comfortable and eager to introduce workflow automation tools and streamlined operational processes to eliminate manual, repetitive work.
AI curiosity & familiarity: Enthusiastic about emerging AI capabilities in design, with a practical eye for how everyday AI tools can enhance team productivity.
Data & capacity planning: Ability to look at team capacity and operational metrics to make smart scheduling and resource allocation decisions, ultimately driving output per FTE.
