Your daily tasks will include:
Regional Payroll Management: Oversee timely and legally compliant monthly payroll processing for Latvia and Estonia, while providing operational support for payroll in Spain, the UK, and Poland.
Data Preparation: Collect and organize all necessary data for payroll calculations, ensuring total accuracy and alignment with internal HR service requirements.
Audit & Reporting: Prepare weekly, monthly, and year-end payroll reports and serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits.
Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the lead expert for employee inquiries regarding payroll, local taxes, and social security regulations.
Off-Cycle Payments: Manage and process non-standard payments, including bonuses, allowances, corrections, and advance payments.
Termination Settlements: Calculate and prepare final settlements for employee departures to ensure compliance with local labor laws.
Vendor & Advisor Collaboration: Partner with external payroll providers, HR system vendors, and local advisors across multiple countries to ensure seamless operations.
Process Improvement: Contribute to the optimization of HR processes and participate in both local and global HR initiatives and projects.
Your qualifications:
Educational Background: Higher education degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
Regional Payroll Expertise: At least 2 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing for Latvia and Estonia; experience in Spain, the UK, or Poland is considered a significant advantage.
Accounting Knowledge: Strong, comprehensive knowledge of full-cycle accounting principles and practices.
Language Proficiency: Excellent command of the Latvian language and a very high level of English (written and verbal).
Software & Technical Skills: Proficient in Google Workspace and MS Office; specific experience with Microsoft Dynamics (ERP), HRIS, or HR portals is highly preferred.
Problem-Solving Skills: A strong ability to navigate complex processes and situations with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Operational Agility: Proven ability to manage a heavy workload and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Collaborative Mindset: Capable of working with a high degree of independence while contributing effectively to a cross-functional team.

Monthly salary EUR 2200-2500 gross, depending on work experience, education, and skills

Intro Chat
If our Talent Acquisition Team believes that you could be a great fit for the role, we’ll invite you to a 30-45-minute introductory call. Our goal is to learn about your relevant experiences, skills, and motivations. This is also your chance to ask any questions you may have about FYUL.
Practical Task
Some roles require our candidates to complete a practical assignment. It helps us assess your problem-solving skills and your ability to complete the duties required for the role.
These can come in the form of a take-home assignment or a live session where a dedicated team member will guide you through the process and answer any of your questions.
Hiring Manager Interview
The next step is a 30-60-minute call to meet the hiring manager. The goal of this call is to assess if you have the skills necessary for the role. Expect more detailed questions about your experience and some situational or behavioral questions.
Decision and Offer
Once all of your interviews are done, our team will get together to review everyone’s feedback and make a decision.
If we decide that you are the best candidate for the role, our recruiter will reach out to you with an offer.
Once you have accepted the offer, our HR Operations Team will contact you to walk you through the contract signing process.
