Senior Software Engineer in Test
We’re not one brand or one type of team. We’re a fast-growing global company made up of many disciplines – all working toward a shared goal: to power great brands, experiences, and people.
About the team:
The Testing Platform team is responsible for building, evolving, and scaling the automated testing foundation that enables engineering teams to deliver high-quality software with speed and confidence. Rather than owning feature testing end-to-end, the team operates as an enablement function, focusing on shared infrastructure, tooling, and best practices that empower product teams to test effectively.
The team works proactively to reduce friction in testing, improve reliability and feedback loops, and ensure that quality is built into the development process from the earliest stages. By providing reusable solutions, clear guidance, and strong technical leadership, we help standardize quality approaches while still allowing teams the flexibility to meet their specific product needs.
To support the ongoing evolution and growth of our testing platform, we’re looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer in Test to join the team.
Your daily tasks will include:
Process Improvement: research and evaluate new tools, optimise existing tests for speed and reliability, and share knowledge with the teams
Infrastructure Building: design and build robust, reusable test tools and infrastructure for the core platform test automation setups
Cross-functional Collaboration: work closely with software engineers and product managers to identify risks, define testability, and deliver creative testing solutions
Test Plan Preparation: Conduct test plan reviews with engineers across teams for the new products, and implement a minimal part of the tests as examples for the owning team
Your qualifications:
Required:
Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science or related technical field
Real practical development experience:
3+ years as a Software Engineer in Test, SDET, or similar role
1+ years of software development experience (not just scripting)
Strong proficiency in TypeScript
Hands-on experience with Cypress, 2+ years minimum
Strong proficiency in the development of CI/CD pipelines
Experience building internal testing tools and setups
Strong written and verbal communication
Nice to Have:
Background in platform/enablement teams
Exposure to test analytics or reporting dashboards
Strong experience in setting up GitHub Actions CI
Playwright experience
Minimal experience in maintaining Jenkins pipelines
Our tech stack:
Programming Languages: TypeScript
Test Automation Frameworks: Cypress, Playwright (minor usage)
Unit Testing Frameworks: Jest, Vitest
Linting and Formatting: ESlint, Prettier
Test Reporting: Mochawesome, Allure
Databases: Snowflake (used for Test Analytics)
Infra: GitHub Actions, AWS S3, Keeper, GitLab (minor), Jenkins (minor)
AI tools: Claude Code, Github Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, Gemini
Communication & Project Management: Jira, Miro, Google Workspace, Slack.
What we offer:
Monthly salary starting from EUR 3500 gross, with potential for a higher salary depending on work experience, education, and skills

Our Hiring Process
Intro Chat
If our Talent Acquisition Team believes that you could be a great fit for the role, we’ll invite you to a 30-45-minute introductory call. Our goal is to learn about your relevant experiences, skills, and motivations. This is also your chance to ask any questions you may have about FYUL.
Hiring Manager Interview
The next step is a 45-60-minute call to meet the hiring manager. The goal of this call is to assess if you have the skills necessary for the role. Expect more technical questions about your experience and some situational or behavioral questions.
Coding/Whiteboard Session
In this step, candidates are asked to solve technical problems either on a whiteboard or through a live-coding exercise.
The goal is to evaluate your problem-solving skills, coding proficiency, and ability to think through complex challenges. We focus on clean, efficient solutions and clear communication of your thought process. The sessions typically take around 90 minutes.
Final Interview
The final step is a 60-minute conversation with a member of our engineering leadership team—such as our CTO, Director of Engineering, or Head of Engineering. This discussion is focused on cultural fit, your working style, and how you’d collaborate with our team to help us grow and succeed together.
Decision and Offer
Once all of your interviews are done, our team will get together to review everyone’s feedback and make a decision.
If we decide that you are the best candidate for the role, our recruiter will reach out to you with an offer.
Once you have accepted the offer, our HR Operations Team will contact you to walk you through the contract signing process.
