The Creation Experience team builds tools that enable our merchants to design and create products. Simplicity and productivity are embodied in the solutions that we deliver to our merchants to express creativity and create great products. We are creating a one-stop solution for our merchants where they can create beautiful designs and seamlessly add them to our catalog of products.
About the role:
We are looking for a Senior Back-End Software Engineer with expertise in TypeScript and Node.js to join the team. As a back-end engineer, you will be key in shaping and delivering a scalable and robust solution.
Passion for writing and improving (clean) code and systems, being a team player with a collaborative approach, sharing knowledge, and humbly learning from others are essential to succeed in this position. Developing in this role will give you the opportunity to grow and move up within the company.
Your daily tasks will include:
You will take responsibility for the design and execution of your own initiatives.
You will help identify areas of improvement in the codebase and help contribute to making it better.
You will frequently pair with teammates to give and receive feedback from a code review to boost knowledge-sharing, learning and improve the platform.
You will fix any prioritized bugs/issues tracked within the platform.
You will participate in sprint demos, monthly team learning days, company-wide tech demos and BE guild meets.
You will learn, develop your soft skills and spend time discussing best practices and technologies with your peers.
Your qualifications:
6+ years of commercial experience as a Software Engineer.
Commercial experience 2+ years with NodeJS.
Solid experience with Typescript and NestJS.
Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
Experience with microservice architectures.
Experience with AWS or at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
Experience with testing.
Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
Fluent in English (both spoken and written).
Experience with PHP would be considered an advantage.
Curiosity to learn new languages (i.e. Rust).

Intro Chat
If our Talent Acquisition Team believes that you could be a great fit for the role, we’ll invite you to a 30-45-minute introductory call. Our goal is to learn about your relevant experiences, skills, and motivations. This is also your chance to ask any questions you may have about FYUL.
Practical Task
Some roles require our candidates to complete a practical assignment. It helps us assess your problem-solving skills and your ability to complete the duties required for the role.
These can come in the form of a take-home assignment or a live session where a dedicated team member will guide you through the process and answer any of your questions.
Hiring Manager Interview
The next step is a 30-60-minute call to meet the hiring manager. The goal of this call is to assess if you have the skills necessary for the role. Expect more detailed questions about your experience and some situational or behavioral questions.

Once all of your interviews are done, our team will get together to review everyone’s feedback and make a decision.
If we decide that you are the best candidate for the role, our recruiter will reach out to you with an offer.
